Tsokol, a Bribri word meaning center or origin, represents the spatial and spiritual heart of a place. The house is conceived as an open structure extending from side to side, allowing air, light, and landscape to flow through it. It opens toward a large central tree, which becomes the living core of the project ,the organizing element around which space, climate, and daily life unfold. In Zel-kai, the home is not an isolated object, but a dwelling structured around its natural center.
